About Esther
Esther is a mental health therapist and complex trauma consultant who has worked with individuals and families in survival for more than 15 years. During most of her career she has worked in homes, correction facilities, community mental health centers, and school systems. These environments allowed her to witness, first-hand, the brutal impact of survival on individuals and communities. Her work in these spaces pushed her to listen, learn, and adapt her practice to believe and honor the experiences of her clients.
Esther has become adept at many therapy modalities and uses her understanding of neuroscience to recommend and use an approach that works best for your situation and comfort. She loves explaining the “why” behind mental health so her clients are empowered to better understand their healing journey.
She believes that slow and steady work leads to the best long-term outcomes and that having to change providers over and over can lead to further trauma and loss of hope in the healing process. This is why she has built her practice to be sustainable and balanced for her energy and time. That way she is able to commit to giving each client the attention and space they need, for as long as they need.
